Re: tint2 background

Fire up Menu/Help/Tint2/Tint2 Wiki: Configuration -> it'll open the tint2 page on GitLab in the browser. When you checked the background section there, go to:

Menu/Preferences/Tint2/Edit Tint2s/Tint2 Editor

Or you can also try the Tint2 Config GUI there if you prefer.

Re: tint2 background

^I'm not sure how your tint2 is exactly supposed to look like, but you can use there under the "# Panel" section

background_color = #000000

after save use Menu/Preferences/Tint2/Restart Tint2 to apply the changes.

Re: tint2 background

Your panel does have a black background:

# ID 1
rounded = 0
border_width = 0
background_color = #000000 40
border_color = #828282 0

<snip>

panel_background_id = 1

Do you mean you want it opaque? if so, change:

background_color = #000000 40

to

background_color = #000000 100

or some number (percentage) between 40 and 100, if you just want to darken it without making it totally opaqe.

So what distro and window manager you using these days?

You must unlearn what you have learned.
