So as I was just typing, and I noticed there is no red line under my typos and no matter what I do, it doesn't come back? There is no more spell check in libreoffice?
p.s. but I see the spelling and grammar button, but it's not working. how come there is no red line under my typo in libreoffice? Anyone has the same issue?

try this:
sudo apt-get install myspell-en-au
where en-au is engligh australian. Use the module that matches your preferred language.

Have you got the correct dictionaries installed? (Hunspell, I believe, for LO).
Also, go into Tools > Options > Language Settings > Writing Aids and make sure the correct options are ticked.

I did not change any of the settings since I installed bunsenlabs helium. I believe hunspell come pre-installed on bunsenlabs, correct?

I installed myspell but there is still no spell check. Btw, I went to Tools>Options>Language>Language Aids and I actually saw that hunspell is ticked. I just installed helium and I did not alter any of the settings in libreoffice.

No, in fact. The version of hunspell you need depends on your language, so this has to be left to users to install.

First, try, in a terminal...
sudo apt install hunspell
But, seriously, before you open any more support threads, open one master thread with the title "Borked Install, How Do I Recover?"
I've had minor install problems, as have others, but yours are so vague, please provide some stats. Hardware, driver requirements, steps to reproduce... anything!
Please take this suggestion to heart. We can't help you if you can't help us. We are a volunteer project and forum, not a call-on-demand service.
tl:dr; Reconsider your posting style...
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

okay, so I installed hunspell by using the command
sudo apt install hunspell
Still, there is no spellcheck. And yest, Johnraff, I am using American English for my libreoffice. I do not believe I used it for any other language.

'hunspell' is not the package you want. Try 'hunspell-en-us'.
