Hi - first off, this forum is awesome. Every issue/challenge I've brought here has been swiftly addressed with real fixes. So, thanks.
Second, I use Slack a lot, in multiple channels, so I prefer to use the Slack app (built using electron) rather than individual browser tabs. However, the Slack app has a couple of issues that have been bugging me:
- Font rendering. When I have just one account in the app the fonts look great, as they do system-wide. But when I add another account, suddenly the fonts get fuzzy. It's distracting enough that I've taken to using Slack in individual browser tabs. I've uninstalled multiple times and fiddled with font config settings but nothing seems to fix this other than deleting multiple accounts and just using one account. I can also confirm that this is *not* the case when using other DEs (I've tested in Gnome, Mate, and KDE).
- Tint2 panel icon is missing. I have no idea why and have tried placing a slack.png icon in all kinds of directories, but the icon in the Tint2 panel is that generic "blank" icon you get for certain apps. Pic here: https://imgur.com/a/PMJlY
Any help is much appreciated!

Do your problems still occur if you use the version available in the Debian repositories?

Actually that's a different package. I'm using the Slack chat app, downloadable here: https://slack.com/downloads/linux

That is described as for "Ubuntu", BunsenLabs is not compatible with Ubuntu.

Yep I know - it's an Ubuntu package. Figured there might be a DE-specific non-distro-related reason for the weirdness. Thanks for your help!

^ It also looks like the developers aren't making the source code available, which means you couldn't even build it against Debian.
If you must use Slack, your best bet is probably to find an Ubuntu derivative that you're comfortable with. I'm sure there are other messaging applications in the Debian repos that offer similar functionality though.
Be excellent to each other, and...party on, dudes!

Confirmed, gitkraken not working, however atom seems to half-work (It will show build-in icon unlike desktop file viewed in thunar).

I use 3 applications on an electron. And for me it's really a problem. No matter what the topic is from 2016, the problem will be open.
