Very pretty and polished but it uses up too much memory
re the RAM: Holy cow. re the polish: meh, I'd need to do some time-consuming tweaks to even start to like it.
What WM and services are you running in the second scrot? Dat RAM!
No, he can't sleep on the floor. What do you think I'm yelling for?!!!

That's my own fork of dwm (minus the xinerama code) with these running:
UNIT FILE STATE
anacron.service enabled
atd.service enabled
autovt@.service enabled
binfmt-support.service enabled
console-setup.service enabled
cron.service enabled
getty@.service enabled
keyboard-setup.service enabled
lm-sensors.service enabled
networking.service enabled
systemd-timesyncd.service enabled
anacron.timer enabled
12 unit files listed.
Dat RAM!
I did better later:
>50MiB for an empty desktop, not bad for amd64, only Alpine Linux & OpenBSD can better that.
I needed it though:
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 3.7G 3.5G 121M 20M 49M 19M
Swap: 1.8G 1.2G 579M

Can you share your configs please? 8o

Just delete stuff until your system breaks, then go back one!
Incidentally, if you click on the image, does the new page allow you to click to see another five?

Yes it does, although I didn't notice that before — that is one sweet desktop

That was interesting. Hadn't you mentioned to go back, I would just be staring at a green pallet.

Blackwater Park, my first Opeth and still my favourite. Incredible album.

^ Fine by me. :-)
I don't go in for all the fancy stuff as I find it distracting, which is why Openbox is ideal for me. That said, what might not be apparent is the thin white bar above the active program in tint. You can see it above gcolor2 in the fifth picture. I don't really need it, as I know what I'm working on, but the arrival of summer has brought out my whimsical side!
Any programs that aren't in the menu are on keybinds.

i noticed this immediately, and it has spoiled the joy of an otherwise truly minimalist desktop.
whimsical indeed. what pointless bloat!

@grapefruit: So why bother with tint2? Irc default switcher is midle-mice click or super+tab. My try.

^^ A mere 5 posts in and already I've let the forum down!
^ brex...if I'm going that route, then I might as well run a tiling WM...which I intend to do eventually, but I don't have the patience/time/inclination to learn at the moment. I have got bspwm installed alongside Openbox, for when the planets align.

^ I'd recommend awesome to start, it's pretty easy to set up, has a pnael, good documentation, and floating, tiling and single-window modes. Plus, it's the only tiler I've actually used, which makes it easier to recommend.
