NAS Possibility?

I've been looking all over the web at different NAS distros. FreeNAS, NAS4Free, OpenMediaVault, etc. Everything has things I like and don't like.

Is it at all possible to do a Bunsen install, and set up all the components I need?

SnapRAID
Plex
SAMBA
etc...

I think it is possible. A little work, I think. But I am well versed in Linux, shouldnt be too hard.

Re: NAS Possibility?

If I had it to do over again, and I will, I would do it just this way. I am not very impressed with the NAS appliances. Maybe I am just weird but I would like for my file server to be both secure and robust enough to handle any loads I might want to throw at it. That is not something my WD NAS gives me on either front.
