Epic.

@Hoas, Indeed he does, just 20 years younger than what I'm used to hearing...

Maybe the devs too lazy to sent application to be listed at Distrowatch :s

#!++ is a one-person project and it releases only one version, usually shortly after the release of Debian. Occurring problems (due to the fast release) are then solved on demand via reddit.

/edit:

The reason computermouth (the developer) can release so quickly is certainly that he does not make any additional changes. The look & feel of #!++ is almost identical to the original #!. Same wallpaper, same applications, etc. etc. etc. Just Debian+Openbox.

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

^ BunsenLabs takes more time to develop than a distribution with a single clear project leader because every decision has to be considered and approved by not only the developers but also the entire community, I actually consider this to be a strength of our distribution.

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

I don't mean that as a comparison between BL and #!++. Just an explanation why #!++ can release so fast.

...which is one of the biggest strengths of BL. I came here, pointed out some small idea and after some straightfoward discussion it was implemented. That's very low barriered and really satisfying!

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

Not a review, but Jessie at DistroWatch kindly responded to my email informing DW of our Helium release and added us to the announcements there...

https://distrowatch.com/?newsid=10193

As  expected, the announcement is spiking our page-hit ranking there (for the last month, up from 170-something to 29 in 4 days, and in 8th place for trending in the last week tongue ).

https://distrowatch.com/dwres.php?resource=popularity
https://distrowatch.com/index.php?dataspan=trending-1

Of course, our announcement is also mirrored on Planet Debian Derivatives...

A new video overview, he was going to do a quick one but was intrigued enough that it went over 30 minutes. He also checked out BLOB, thankfully he figured it out!

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

DistroWatch appear to be seeding our torrent this week:

It's a nice thought but clearly they didn't check before hosting it — my 80Mb connection is *always* saturated by our community cool

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

^ that's the one from october last year and i'm pretty sure we shredded them back then.
here are the highlights from the article:

right-click anywhere, and you have the menu, but not in any one fixed position. I probably hit the browser icon a dozen times mistakingly, and this is ultra-annoying. No easy or obvious way to add the menu

Now, to begin with, you actually have to install printer support, as it's not there by default.

Frustrating in its inefficiency.

I did not download Debian, I downloaded BunsenLabs and the whole do-not-break should be part of the system configuration not a user's responsibility.

Why is the would-be panel called Tint2? How's that relevant? Also, why is there no way to automatically pin new application shortcuts?

etc.

what a stubborn person.

one almost feels sorry for dedoimedo, who's been doing these reviews for a decade or so and still demands handholding, not knowing how to edit a config file or read a man page.
well, to each their own.
