Getting Tint Functionality with Conky?

Hey everyone, I'm getting a bit used to the daunting amount of options and config file of conky. I was wondering it conky has a way to emulate the tint2 taskbar feature?
That is to say, can conky display a icon or atleast text of open programs you have running? (ice-weasel, libreoffice, etc..) And course be able to click it and bring it up? That's the part that concerns me. conky can most likely be used to display open apps, but actually clicking on them to open/maximize them may not work?

Conky can be interactive -

but you will need to write your own scripts for it. I think there are some examples for app launching in that thread.

You must unlearn what you have learned.

Thanks! I'm really liking Conky... it seems a bit cumbersome, but it's quite powerful...
