how to select image by keyboard entry using feh ?

Hi everybody,
I’m trying to find how to view image by selecting it by reference (image name or its sequence in a folder).
Ex: assume that I have 3 images   1.jpg,  2.jpg and  3.jpg in folder /home/user/ABC   then when run feh or script  and if I tape 1 in keyboard the 1.jpg will be shown  and if I tape 3 then will be 3.jpg and so on until I hit ESC key.
Or by sequence order: doesn’t matter the name or number of images, if I tape 1 key the first image on the folder will be shown and key 3 for 3th image.....
Is there a way to send the key value to feh or with a script that will not cause interruption of the slideshow?

I’m not good on coding and still learning, I’m seeking your help and your suggestions .
