according to them, i'm already using the top 2!

a little thought an hopefully not too ot:
further down is a table, with "Price" being one header.
all distros have a simple dash "-" there, except ubuntu, which is "FREE".
i wonder what that means?

edit: oh, there's a second column with "Price" and more distros have an entry there.
it's probably meaningless and just a result of different community contributors filling out forms in a different manner.

It is well worth remembering that the term "free" was invented by somebody who was trying to sell something...

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

The most recent 5 reviews on DistroWatch have all given us a rating of 10.

Here's hoping Helium does even better...

However, our description page now lists the latest review as Deuterium, and it's dedoimedo's. smile

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

*) We need to make it clearer somewhere that the main point of the non-PAE iso is not that it supports non-pae cpu's (are there any now?) but that it's small enough to fit on a CD, so allows install on machines that don't support bootup from a usb stick.
*) "Google Docs available by default which I think is pretty cool" Hmm... that's just been removed from the Helium menu due to popular execration...

...which wasn't really in tune with our thing...

We really should try to get Helium out soon. Without flaws of course.

I love it but it's STILL using DEBIAN 8!! CrunchBang++ upgraded to it MONTHS ago with 0 issue. I'd recommend CB++ over this, the dev team is seemingly smaller but a lot more hard working.

Ouch.

By the way, anyone know why CrunchBang++ is not listed at DistroWatch?

Yes, that hurts. I don't know how we could be harder working, with a current active dev staff of 4, and I was shut away the last month, so effectively 3 then, and also nobody is very busy IRL, so often enough it's Head_on_a_Stick and tknomanzr holding the fort.

Then with fielding user questions on the forum, not a lot of time gets left over for moving the release forward.
We're doing our best though...

Man that is a rough comment from that reviewer.

Brutal comment actually.

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

Yup, just was on the recieving end myself from Destination Linux who struggle with the ArchLabs installer because it is text based not Calamares.

Anyway, personally I think BL is eons ahead of #!++.  Great Distro, great team, great forum.
