Couple things

1.Newest hplip included in iso image

2.Fixed issue with screenshots : Clash with xfce4-screenshooter causing shadowed screenshots on selected region

3.New installer with autologin option without workaround.

4.Give a option for turning off autolocking

Re: Couple things

Thanks for your suggestions!

In turn:

Newest hplip included in iso image

The next release will have a refreshed installer and associated programs, I'm not sure it would be a worthwhile investment of our time to update the current (Deuterium) image.

Fixed issue with screenshots : Clash with xfce4-screenshooter causing shadowed screenshots on selected region

That is already fixed in Helium-dev:

https://github.com/BunsenLabs/bunsen-co … 48721e722e

You can apply that fix to ~/.config/compton.conf yourself if you want wink

New installer with autologin option without workaround

I don't understand this, can you explain more please?

We will use the stock Debian stretch installer with a few custom options selected.

Give a option for turning off autolocking

If by "autolocking" you mean screen locking then see this guide:

Re: Couple things

For autologin with LightDM see https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 034#p45034

We don't need a GUI for that wink

But we could have this option. SparkyLinux has new installer with that option , so why we can't.

bunsenlabs follows a certain philosophy.
if i may add it up in my own words: "usable out of the box, configurable through plain text files and a few simple scripts, none of which produce additional overhead. thus keeping the end result lightweight"
saying "let's have an additional gui for everything" is contrary to that philosophy.

Because we have decided to use the upstream Debian stretch installer for the next release.

Also, I think a guide on the forum is more appropriate for our community because it empowers the user and allows them to be more aware of the intimate details of system configuration — this is always a Good Thing™ smile
