ok, I have done this before, but now I cant find it. How do I change the bl default apps?

Not sure so dont take my word for it as im on arch atm.

I think the user mode is

update-alternatives --config <program>

Or there is also a menu option for "galternatives" which is a GUI ("point-and-click") front-end for the `update-alternatives` command.

Found under "System">"Edit Debian Alternatives".
