Re: November 2017 Screenshot Thread

^ Not really, just build it from source and add /etc/pacman{.conf,.d/mirrorlist}  wink

EDIT: don't try using it to install packages to the Debian system though, that would completely wreck it.

I've only got it working so that I can use `pacstrap` to install Arch while booted in the SharpBang live session.

EDIT2: Arch & GNOME:

That's Honda's CB4 Interceptor concept — it's a sportsbike, Jim, but not as we know it.

Re: November 2017 Screenshot Thread

OpenBSD - VB/VM - Cwm using .xinitrc. I like this WM. Oneday i will run Openbsd from a computer that allows it! Atm my nvidia laptop is not suitable so i am have to learn all about openbsd in a VM. Im not very good with these sort of window managers but i have picked up cwm with not too much hassle. Hoas, i nicked some of your settings from over at daemon forums wink cheers mate.

You're welcome but I think that test originated from machinebacon (via Nilli), I just changed the "ttyC0" bit.

EDIT: here's a post from the Arch forums showing my TTY display manager:

Devuan with cwm. Basic desktop but workable. Using Devuan backports version of mksh, 2016 - R54. Im starting to enjoy this type of window manager more and more smile.

This is what the .cwmrc looks like, just taken the example that it ships with and added some commands thus far.

     # Set default Xft(3) font
     fontname "sans-serif:pixelsize=14:bold"

     # Turn on sticky-group mode
     sticky yes

     # Any entry here is shown in the application menu
     command gmrun gmrun
     command xterm xterm
     command chromium chromium
     command xmms xmms
     command top "xterm -e top"

     # Autogroup definitions
     autogroup 3 "aterm,XTerm"
     autogroup 3 "xterm,XTerm"

     # Ignore programs by that name by not drawing borders around them.
     ignore XMMS
     ignore xwi
     ignore xapm
     ignore xclock

     # Key bindings
     bind CM-r label
     bind CS-Return "xterm -e top"
     bind 4-o unmap
     bind CM-equal unmap
     bind CMS-equal unmap
     bind C4-equal vmaximize
     bind C4S-equal hmaximize
     bind M-1 grouponly1
     bind M-2 grouponly2
     bind M-3 grouponly3
     bind MS-1 movetogroup1
     bind MS-2 movetogroup2
     bind MS-3 movetogroup3

Nice shot; cwm is a pretty good window manager after you get use to it.

This is still the only operating system in which I can get ranger image previews to work roll

Has anybody actually had the previews working under Arch?

Really? Good work Dobbie & co! big_smile

@Dobbie, how did you do that?

I can't get w3m itself to display images in my Arch box so the ranger previews don't work either sad
