.config for existing kernel?

Hi - I'm trying to revive a very old Thinkpad (will be 20 next year!) using BL, and much to my amazement almost everything works smile
A couple snags that I understand can be fixed with a kernel recompile: APM instead of ACPI and ISA instead of PCI sound card.
Any hints on where I can find the .config of the kernel as it is on Deuterium-i386+NonPAE_20170429 ? It's not available in /proc/ sadly
Thank you!

Re: .config for existing kernel?

In /boot it'll be the one that says config-3.x.xyz etc. Being a dork though yeah that's where you'll find the suckers for any kerns you have installed.

Edit: I'm on a roll, you're meaning in live session or whatever ? Should be no problem to mount the iso with whichever util/archiver, extract it into a directory or whatever and search through it for the thing's .config file. Off the top don't know exactly where it is if you mean you want to snatch it from the iso.

Could also install it to VM, then as per above get a copy of the kern's .config file from /boot.

Update: Yep even when running live session you can get a copy of it's .config file from /boot and TONS of ways to transfer it over, email it to yaself, mount a local partition and copy it to that etc etc etc.
