November 2017 Screenshot Thread

Please use thumbnails!

Do not embed images larger than approx 250x250px (62,500px) into posts, use thumbnails linking to a hosted image instead

We recommend https://scrot.moe for image uploads. Click "Embed codes", copy/paste the "Thumbnail image (linked) BBCode" at the bottom of the page, done.

To open the linked scrot fullscreen in your browser, scroll down to the Download icon on the right (next to Like and Share), right-click it and hit T on your keyboard to open the screenshot in a new browser tab, then switch to that tab. Done.

I didn't last long on openbsd, just too laggy and not suited to my nvidia laptop, it likes archlinux and openrc, i like a snappy nix desktop that can make use of all of its hardware.

Got the conky from the conky github page. Using MOC while I (try) to figure out how to use mpd+ncmpcpp.

It turns out that DOSBox compiles and runs under Alpine's musl libc just fine:

@steve: I haven't really done anything with the ob theme other than setting the title bar colour to #CECECE to match vanilla BunsenLabs (see scrot below).

The menu is jgmenu rather than openbox-menu.

For urxvt, I set <decor>no</decor> in ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml; and set borderLess and transparent in ~/.Xresources.

The majority of the tweaking is in tint2rc. I liked @Dobbie03's polybar in ArchLabs an was trying to achieve something similar in tint2 using font-awesome "icons".

It's based around these colours:

background-image #3C3F45
tint2-background #2C313C
tint2-font #8FA1B3
tint2-active_task #6BA4E7

It's calling out for some well-written tint2-*.sh scripts for wifi, mail, cpu, ram, github, etc for tint2 buttons/execps.

I've toned down the colours a bit:

HoaS, Nice, however I asked good old htop and it's opinion is that gtop is using ~ 10% of cpu (Perhaps just a rivalry. Or this old cpu).
