Hi,
I installed vpn options in network-manager
(sudo apt-get install network-manager-pptp network-manager-pptp-gnome network-manager-vpnc network-manager-vpnc-gnome network-manager-openvpn network-manager-openvpn-gnome
then
sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
sudo /etc/init.d/network-manager restart
to display them in network-manager, VPN Connections > Configure VPN... > Add > import saved VPN connection...
but when I load a saved vpn configuration (.ovpn), nothing happens; normally it should open a window with all the parameters from the .ovpn file
dis I miss some package?
thanks a lot

I may be mistaken here, but I have the vague memory of running into the exact same problem, which turned out to be a bug in the network-manager package.
// Edit: I found this bug for Ubuntu, but I doubt it's the same one / the one I was thinking of.

I'm having this issue too. What version of 'network-manager' are you using?

Reviving an old post as I had the same exact problem with network-manager-gnome 0.9.10 (latest) installed.
Anyone with a workaround to this yet?

I had the same exact problem with network-manager-gnome 0.9.10 (latest) installed.
Is the problem fixed with the new Debian stable release?

I'll load it later this evening on a usb stick and give it a try.

Debian tracked this bug in #726935. It was fixed with the release of network-manager-applet 1.0.6-2, so I don't think this will be fixed until BunsenLabs moves on to Stretch.
