Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

@ Nili and TBG - it may seem like I am a walking talking, living breathing meteorological station station but let me assure you that; I am - with the help I get from scripts others use.

And now for the weather:
Today will be light, tonight will be dark. HEY! I can do that with sunrise|sunset times ${grin big_evil}
And Teo's weather: It's Spring in the South and Autumn in the North

Remember - me! Never, my forgetter is getting better!

I have it well documented in my old 1b2 conky, that I used just before the "updated script" - I should put it back - just for fun! ]:D

It is rounded off to "months", so not an exact science, but then, neither is the weather an exact science!

Interesting, I started the old one - it updated the data but the running conky hadn't updated yet.
PROOF that weather is an inexact science!

OK, I say do not reject if someone offer you a job in a meteorologist stations , Teo too, You can work together as a team.

You guys use this work for hobbies (think), you wouldn't be wrong to receive some money one day for any big weather project.

We have nothing to do with the making of the weather forecast, we just take it and present it in a beautiful way through conky.

See what happens when I follow the instructions in the PDF? It breaks. All I did was add my location in as requested then ran conky -c /pathtoscript as indicated in the pdf.

Yeah, no. So um, what am I doing wrong? I am trying to use the 1b1 script as found on page 1.

Nice stuff ... One idea for a tweak ... conkys are always tweakable...

Since all the data in the raw file for "today" is cut to 2 decimal places, why not do that for the Sun and Moon angles for all days ( | cut -c-4 ) and also the sun and moon distances. It would keep everything looking the same.

Use the cut command. Instead, for example, of putting in your conkyrc:

use
${goto 40}${color ffe595}Moon Angle${color} ${execpi 600 sed -n '6p' $HOME/4_Moon/rawg | cut -c1-5}°
Filtering sed with this cut command will only use the first 5 characters of the required info.

I'm using whatever version of conky shipped with BL RC1.

Your font (Arial:size=7) was way to small for me, I had to use a magnifying glass to see it ... but I like the layout, so I made the font bigger with a mono font and tweaked in a few changes. ]:D Us old guys need bigger font!
