Re: screenruler [Debian Buster/testing]

That's not a bug it is just "debian testing" in growing pains.  IMHO it is way to early in the life of "Buster" to be using it.  I've always has worse luck with 'testng' than I did with 'sid'.

Also because of this:  addons_ruby.rb  it's not a problem with screenruler as much as the  dependency on ruby:

(this from Debian Jessie)
   $ apt-cache depends screenruler
screenruler
 |Depends: ruby
  Depends: <ruby-interpreter>
    ruby2.1
  Depends: ruby-gtk2
  Depends: ruby-cairo
  Depends: ruby-gettext

Re: screenruler [Debian Buster/testing]

Mes excuses ... Je garde l'oubli.
====
For this reason: "addons_ruby.rb", it is not a problem with screenruler as much as the dependency of ruby:
-------
Pour cette raison: "addons_ruby.rb", ce n'est pas un problème avec screenruler autant que la dépendance de ruby:

   $ apt-cache depends screenruler
screenruler
 |Depends: ruby
  Depends: <ruby-interpreter>
    ruby2.1
  Depends: ruby-gtk2
  Depends: ruby-cairo
  Depends: ruby-gettext

Until they bring the "ruby" file into "Buster" it will not work.
-------
Jusqu'à ce qu'ils apportent le fichier "ruby" dans "Buster", cela ne fonctionnera pas.

Your English is better than my French, please excuse my Google French. wink

Re: screenruler [Debian Buster/testing]

@ ragamatrix

I know this isn't the best but it might help.  I extended the screenruler out to 1000 pixels in a horizontal and vertical layout.  Then  I made images of them, ruler-h.jpg and ruler-v.jpg, use them in a conky without resizing them, just position them.

Maybe it will help until python is fixed.

Bonne chance mon ami.

EDIT:  YES!!!!!

I will now put them in my conky image folder and keep them.
