Hello there.
As my labtop comes with an old (32bits) processor, I cannot install skype for linux. There are still two ways of using skype. The first is going trhough web.skype.com, the second is using third-party skype clients (like ghetto).
Both of them have the same issue when I try a vocal/video call : my contact don't get the invitation and the call ends in seconds with the message "busy". The webcam works properly, as the flash applet and browser authorizations (anyway, I think so, double checked that).
I set up Chromium as my default browser during bunsenlabs installation, which provided a specific version of flash (I think ?). I connected to web.skype.com through firefox as well (and installed the packet flashplugin-nonfree for firefox), and the issue was different : the video and audio call buttons were non-clickable, like if I had no webcam. And I also checked if my webcam worked properly on firefox (with a website like www.un-miroir.com).

No, the Debian (and hence BunsenLabs) version of Chromium does not include FlashPlayer but it can be added with our bunsen-pepperflash package.
Have you tried using Chrome instead?
That does come with PPAPI (although it must be manually activated) and that may help with DRM-restricted sites, although I have to say that such sites work fine for me with FF & NPAPI.
I don't have any experience with Skype so I can't help directly but my family use FaceBook video calls regularly on our Debian stretch laptop (basic pekwm/lxpanel desktop, no display manager) and it always seems to work.

I checked and bunsen-pepperflash is already installed. Chrome does not seem to have a 32bits version.

Have you seen https://wiki.debian.org/skype?
There may be some tips there.

Roughly, yeah. The skype packet for an i386 computer is not maintained and the old (4.3) version cannot communicate with more recent versions. The only ways for a computer like mine are third-party packets and web skype... Which is now stable. Or should be. Anyway the wiki is also outdated.

yeah, skype is only available 64 bit..
Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for he shall not be disappointed...
If there's an obscure or silly way to break it, but you don't know what.. Just ask me
