hi all
anyone else still use xombrero?
i know its discontinued, but it works good and i like it
this is on helium-dev but it should apply to any xombrero
opening xombrero from the default install without a xombrero.conf creates a perfectly usable xombrero except without the ability to edit and save any settings due to no xombrero.conf
when i add a default xombrero.conf it goes to hell
looks like crap, url & search bar screws up
when i add my own xombrero.conf it fixes all the problems
except the looks of it
i cant figure how to make it look like the default no xombrero.conf install
there is no default xombrero.conf anywhere that i can find
searches refer to conformal's default xombrero.conf which doesn't work
i've even tried searching xxxterm
man xombrero states
xombrero tries to open the user specific file, ~/.xombrero.conf. If that
file is unavailable, it then uses built-in defaults. Any settings saved at
runtime will be saved to the file ~/.xombrero/runtime and will be loaded as
well.
so from man above, how do i go about finding where it's built-in defaults are coming from
cheers
So come up to the lab...
And see what's on the slab
