unattended-upgrades is not all that dire - it looks to me as if the package still has to be enabled via APT configs.
See new thread I started: https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 504#p58504
the package works by installing and enabling a systemd .service that runs /sbin/unattended-upgrades
Is that Debian Stretch? On my Jessie box, after installing unattended-upgrades 'dpkg -L' lists no such sbin file.

Is that the same thing as already used by the BL flash updater?
I think so, yes.
On my Jessie box, after installing unattended-upgrades 'dpkg -L' lists no such sbin file.
Please excuse me, I have to book access to the Debian laptop in advance and I was referring to https://packages.debian.org/stretch/all … s/filelist instead — the actual path is /usr/bin/unattended-upgrade{,s}
