Is your issue resolved?

If so, please indicate which solution actually worked for you and also add [SOLVED] to the thread title to help anybody else who also suffers with this problem.

This link is from the Arch forums but I think it also applies to our community:

Re: flickering screen using menu

Does the flickering screen still happen with the screen brightness at different levels or with the laptop screen tilted to different angles . I ask because my acer netbook had flickering screen to the point of becoming unusable but wouldnt happen when the brightness was set to lowest setting. It did it with BL and ubuntu but rarely with windows7.

I took my laptop screen bezel off to inspect the monitor cable and the problem dissappeared so i left the bezel off for 6 months or so, ive just put the bezel back on and so far no flickering. Probably unrelated but you may want to check.

Re: flickering screen using menu

^ I also suggested that in post #15 but I think that the OP does not want to get their hands dirty tinkering with the system to that extent, which is fair enough.

This distribution is best suited to those who like to fiddle  smile
