something you don't know about
I know *of* it...
Remove that newfangled nonsense and configure your terminal emulator directly, the way your GrandFather used to 8o

You don't understand... terminator as it sits is using the exact same config file I've been using for years.
It is the bash script that uses Teo's Accuweather and Moon scripts that uses the tput stuff to position output and colour it. Not the terminal... HOWEVER .... you got me thinking ...
My ~/.config/terminator/config files are different ???
Now I'm really confused ... thinking ... obviously they changed the format and when I opened preferences to see if the two were similar I guess it overwrote it .... hmmmmm
I see the palettes are different:
D8
palette = "#000000:#cd0000:#00cd00:#cdcd00:#1e90ff:#cd00cd:#00cdcd:#e5e5e5:#4c4c4c:#ff0000:#00ff00:#ffff00:#4682b4:#ff00ff:#00ffff:#ffffff"
D9
palette = "#000000:#cd0000:#00cd00:#cdcd00:#0000ee:#cd00cd:#00cdcd:#e5e5e5:#7f7f7f:#ff0000:#00ff00:#ffff00:#5c5cff:#ff00ff:#00ffff:#ffffff"
So I'll pop D8's into D9's config and lets see what happens.
