That's the spirit S11, fusion of different scripts is the way to go if you want to take advantage of every one's benefits.

Whenever I am working on a conky that needs internet access, email, currency rates, weather I remove the "bash script" lines once I have a current database and use it like that for the time I'm being creative, then in the end I add the line before publishing it. I've actually forgotten to do that step a few times.
One day, quite a while back, it hit me, why use the "script" for this new conky when I have the data because of my working conkys. That's why the idea came about to use the data from various scripts in one conky. That one conky for S12, above, is the only conky that uses your scripts for the conkys I use.
It is the first conky called, from Desktop 4, it sets up fresh weather data:
(sleep 0 && wmctrl -s 3 && conky -c /media/5/Conky/S12/S12_tc_wx.conky) &
And then 11 seconds later, on Desktop 1, the two accuweather scripts I use are called:
(sleep 11 && wmctrl -s 0 && conky -c /home/sector11/1_accuweather/S11_accu_tm_BAR_2016-full.conky) &
(sleep 11 && wmctrl -s 0 && conky -c /home/sector11/1_accuweather/S11_accu_UVI.conky) &
Neither of them access the net.
However I need to move ~/1_accuweather to /media/5/Conky/1_accuweather, and reconfigure it, that way it will be available for all three triple boots I have here.
You've made weather just too easy for conky, it's as comfortable for me today as conkyForecast was years ago and IMHO, more universally acceptable for various distros as there are no python libraries required. Got a shell: this works.
Same with the accuweather terminal script I posted a while back, mine does not access the net

If you mean the thermometer image, it means that a heatwave is imminent.

@ector - stay hydrated - stay safe. -> Rimanere idratati - rimanere al sicuro.
From what I hear, Roma has no water, so get into the stores now and buy water of any type.
Da quello che sento, Roma non ha acqua, perciò entra ora nei negozi e acquista acqua di qualsiasi tipo.
How you going in Greece Teo?

All's well S11, reasonably hot, nothing we've never encountered before.
Let the people in Athens and Thessaloniki boil in their own sweat, we highlanders have no real problem
I envy your winter by the way...

Winter - hmmm yea for the past little while it's been nice - 20-25°C but then today happened: a nippy 10°, humidity at 87% with a SE wind @22km/h (that's a 'cold' wind). That humidity hits the bone and forget it. BRRRRRR!
I know you can come visit us here for winter (Jun, Jul, Aug) and we'll go to Greece for (Dec Jan Feb). Spring and Autumn we'll spend in our respective places of residence.

I've been having issues for awhile now with intermittent, short freezes where my keyboard and mouse are unresponsive. I've been wondering lately if it might by the conky weather scripts. I'm currently running 1_accuweather, including hourly, and 3_conky_forecast_nws. So today while I was working, I noticed a freeze from 16:10:33 - 16:10:37. I checked the weather script folders and noted a time stamp of 16:10 for the hourly_2015 and hourly_2016 folders, as well as the hourly1 and hourly2 text files under the 1_accuweather folder. Anyone else using either of the aforementioned scripts and noticing intermittent, short freezes on their system?
