I am reviving an old laptop that is in a very secure environment.
So far I am enjoying bunsenLabs, but every time I turn on the machine, it asks me for a user name and a password, which honestly is just annoying.
I have searched in the forums (perhaps with wrong keywords?) and didn't find how to do this.
How can I autologin every time I turn on the computer?

Or you might consider package nodm.

1) Menu -> System -> Login settings
2) In lightdm.conf, uncomment this line, and add your username
#autologin-user=

I use autologin on my computer that runs my media center, it logs into kodi TV in about 15 seconds from the time i press the on button.
I like the ability i have with a HDD and Monitor over a store bought TV set, i have all the ability they do at half the price and i control the medium.
