Some question about BunsenLabs linux

Hello!I'm a junior high school student from China.
I would like to add Chinese to this system and make the interface of this system to become Chinese to make my classmates and friends more convenient to use it.
And I would like to add some software such as Tencent QQ, ghost, to make it more suitable for Chinese students.
But I did not find out how to do it in the forum,So what should I do?
(My English is not very good.If I say there are grammatical mistakes and offended, hope you can forgive)Thanks.

Re: Some question about BunsenLabs linux

Hello Maple Sugar, welcome to the forums  smile

I would like to add Chinese to this system and make the interface of this system to become Chinese

The locale can be set with:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

But I presume that you have already done this.

To change the text in the Openbox menu, edit the file at ~/.config/openbox/menu.xml

You will have to explain which parts of the interface do not display in Chinese for us to help you further though.

I would like to add some software such as Tencent QQ, ghost

I'm not sure what those applications do but if you mean https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tencent_QQ then it looks like that doesn't work under Linux but you may have luck with WINE:

https://infinitescript.com/2017/03/inst … with-wine/

If you mean https://support.symantec.com/en_US/arti … 06776.html then that should work fine with BunsenLabs, as far as I can tell.

Backup first though, obviously.

EDIT: and your English is great!

Re: Some question about BunsenLabs linux

I've never done this, but that what I'd attempt.

First I would install the fonts, like

sudo apt-get install ttf-arphic-bkai00mp ttf-arphic-bsmi00lp ttf-arphic-gbsn00lp ttf-arphic-gbsn00lp

Than I'd change the locales

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

And choose zh - whatever kind of chinese you need, probably zn-cn, make sure it is UTF-8

Then set up the keyboard. I don't know anything about chinese, seems like you have to install the pinyin support, but you can check it out yourself.

Let us know how it goes!

EDIT: couple of links:

Re: Some question about BunsenLabs linux

I'm sorry, I didn't have a good expression before and caused inconvenience to you
I hope to be in the "BunsenLabslinux" on the basis of the revised and remade into iso file, like this

https://public.lightpic.info/image/C4AA_5974829A0.jpg

These changes include: the default display of Chinese interface and can be free to switch in multiple languages.
By default, the root user runs
Add some new software to iso
So that when the system is completely running in memory can achieve some localization, and when my classmates try out,it will be easier to accept。
Thank you for your help in this and apologize for the previous improper expression again!

Re: Some question about BunsenLabs linux

You can try to re-master the ISO image yourself, search the interweb for general guidance.

Or simply install a "test" system to a USB stick (USB3 is quick enough for this to work well, even long-term) and configure it as you like and use that to demonstrate the system to others.

If they like it, the conventional ISO could be used for installation with the correct locale selected.
