OH NO! A SAD DAY! 8.( 8.(
Yes, it was so much fun tweaking conky as it lasted for me 2010 - 2017
Thanks to you S11, #!/BunsenLabs (conky-thread), conky-pitstop, VinDSL, Teo for your mega efforts of sharing your skills... All i learned from you guys on those past years.
Now i decided to make some cuts, WM+Tint2 It's enough for me.
I will not replace conky with any other desktop info anyway, nor i'm gonna using any ".sh" to show desktop info.
Terminals actions like inxi, neofetch, env-info are super enough for my request.
OK, I like some red. ]:D
Just like some cool old red wine
EDIT For example I did like these reds:
Yeah, Temetka background is looking quite good.

Well I use to like love red wine, like a really good Chianti - or an old bottle of Chateau Latour, but it's been 31+ years since I have had alcohol. {sigh} I remember a Frenchman taking me down to his cellar, and in the back, very dusty with cobwebs was wine made by his father. He took out 4 bottles and gave them to me, he grabbed a fifth. This was in 82 or 83 so I guess the wine dated back to some time in the sixties. In his kitchen he popped open the bottle he brought up. OH YEA!!!!! and then he gave me the other 4. There must have been 200 bottles down there from "last year" to 20ish years old. Were they ever good!
OK ... ON TOPIC

Say that env-info is nice. I dropped screenfetch and neofetch for inxi (which does current weather)
Desktop 5 has no conkys - the other 4 yes.
This is conkyless but used a bit - I quite like that env-info although the info is in inxi, where I turned colour off:
Maybe you'd consider weather in a terminal?

Helium dev, using the Beam gtk/OB theme, and background. These may well be the defaults for Helium (Colour? Yay! )
Conky using the Raleway font, with a forums atom feed.
Tint2 is the latest build, using gradients and separators.
Both conky and tint2 using colours from a palette extracted from the Debian SoftWaves default.

I bought a new laptop. It came with Windows 10. I have no major complaints with Windows 10 yet.
That is so hard to believe.

WHY? He did say he bought it. He did say it came with W10, then came the key word: yet.

I got plenty of nature shots from vacation. May be time to use my own photos as backgrounds instead from the net. But it's such a pain to upload and downsize them .

In the meantime, here's the better KDE. Still on Wheezy btw. Not on the net much these days with this machine.
Got away from Chrome/Chromium, Vivaldi and the new Opera seem better browsers. FF not getting much use either, more out of nostalgia.
Simple OB theme and Bluebird. Keeping things simple .

Yea yea, I know Wheezy but still and Janice never arrived either.
You should use your photos ... always something nice about seeing your own work on the screen.

Why can't you do it locally? Batch resize with gimp or imagemagick FTW

Yeah, thanks for the encouragement mate! Janice in the distance...
When maximized, I particularly like the clean thin blue line around the panel.
It's actually the same size above and below but I don't think that quite comes across on the scrot.
EDIT: Oh yes, and hats off to the creator/s of this forum theme. That's awesome, too. It's been my main theme on the BL forum for about a year now. Well, since discovering it.

Install imagemagick, then do
$ for i in *;do convert $i -resize xxx $i;done
where "xxx" is the new width (it will resize proportionally). This will overwrite the original, so you could output to a different path, or change the name:

What do you think of these Tint2's for Helium? They match the Beam themes, and include some gradient and separators.
