Obamenu - invalid output from pipe-menu (SOLVED)

Hi there!

In my search for an alternative-complementary menu, I have installed obamenu following the instructions here, I do get the "Applications" submenu, but just passing the mouse over that brings an error box with the sayings:

invalid output from pipe-menu "obamenu"

Any idea on what this means and how to fix it?

BTW, I get the same when I try to get the "no-icons" option.

Run the pipemenu command in a terminal: it should tell you why it is failing.

Well, running 'obamenu' first points to some problems between python 2.7 and python 3... Having fixed those (to the extent of my rather shallow knowledge), some other problems popped up in the code, which I cannot handle...

I guess I'll have to review my python versions.
Get a feeling that'll be tricky, but nothing some G search won't solve.

OK, Solved that by restoring the "python" command to point to Python 2.7 and python3 to point to Python 3.6.

Working 100% now!
