Conky basics

I am new to conky and was wondering where I can get a go to guide on the basics like finding the files building my own conky scripts and how to use lua files especially when it comes to BunsenLabs.

Thanks for any information you may offer me.

First port of call is Menu -> Help&Resources -> Conky;

Much of the online information is also found with

man conky

Second thing to do is look through the Conky threads in Scripts..etc. ;

Find a conky you like and see how it is set up.

NB: BL Hydrogen has Conky v1.9, but the new Stable (stretch, and the next BL Helium) has v1.10, which uses a different syntax and has fewer capabilities at the moment. If you start any question threads then please be sure to specify which version you are using.
