This command seems lacking to me. I specify border to be
border_sides = B
but it does not work on the id i need it to.
border_sides = LRTB : the sides to draw the border on (left, right, top, bottom). If not specified, all sides are used. (since 0.12.12)
Tintrc & im getting border sides left right and bottom, no top with this config.

^ You sure you are running that tint2rc? It specifies "border_sides = B" for all ID's, and that is what I see when I run it.
Also, just to be sure you have a recent enough Tint2, can we see the output of
tint2 -v

Pretty sure i am, tint2 chooser says im using tint2rc.
Output=
sc@debian:~$ tint2 -v tint2 version 0.11+svn20121014
This is what i see with that current tint2rc
https://cdn.scrot.moe/images/2017/06/06/Screenshot-060617-212114.png
And you previously noted:
border_sides = LRTB : the sides to draw the border on (left, right, top, bottom). If not specified, all sides are used. (since 0.12.12)
So you need a newer version. Either build the latest from github, or install our (very new) package from BL backports.
