If that is a conky that you want to
1. open,
2. look at, and
3. close again when read.

Change

	own_window_hints = 'undecorated,below,skip_taskbar,skip_pager',

to

	own_window_hints = 'below,skip_taskbar,skip_pager',

Set a mrenus entry to start it and then you close it like a normal application with the [x] in the corner.

Hello ector1935;
I'm also a conky and compiz user.
I fixed the shadow problem in the ccsm (compiz settings manager)
You have to go in windows decoration and shadowed windows and fill these settings (for me tint2 and conky):

Thanks for posting your conky-compiz @ ragamtrix but I did not remember having blocked the conky update,so i still have version 1.9.
Sector11 conky already contains x compiz settings,works without having to modify ccsm.
Here's my conky-archlinux-mate-compiz working.

That would be in conky v1.10?  I didn't know that.

Looks like you are using ARGB for transparency (the moon is washed out).  sad

I don't like images that are washed out with ARGB.  Should have thought of that link first.

No,that is conky 1.9 the moon is washed because of the lighter background,i put pictures with conky version from terminal

@Teo:  Just started using the last update to the Accuweather scripts.  It doesn't seem to be an issue, but I get the following error for both the .conky_1_hourly_2016 and .conky_1_images_2016 scripts when I run them from the command line:

conky: Invalid value 'yes' for setting 'use_spacer'. Valid values are: 'none', 'left', 'right'.

Also, the .conky_1_hourly_2016 script isn't displaying the icons for some reason.  I can see the icons in the hourly_2016 folder, but they're not showing on the display.

Adds spaces around certain objects to stop them from moving other things around. Arguments are left, right, and none (default). The old true/false values are deprecated and default to right/none respectively. Note that this only helps if you are using a mono font, such as Bitstream Vera Sans Mono.

There are three OOPS! in the conky.

1.  - user_space - as unklar pointed out:
user_spacer - responses are now: left right none  - not yes, no

2. - border_margin is defunct and split into two commands:

border_inner_margin
border_outer_margin

put the "9" with border_inner_margin


3. - text_buffer_size is not sufficient with: 4096 - I increased it in 256 steps until the conky showed:

Sorry guys, I've been meaning to change use_spacer and border_margin for the last few years, but whenever an update comes I always forget to correct them.
An update just for correcting them doesn't seem worth the effort, so there you go.

As S11 noted, increase the value of the text_buffer_size variable, although I have no problem with 4096 bytes. On the other hand, I don't run many conkys at once (well, just one actually) so I couldn't tell what the value should be for heavy conky users.

Thank you guys for the fix info.  I'll try increasing the text_buffer_size variable to see if that fixes the icons non-display issue.  So what should the default value be for the use_spacer variable be?

User_spacer  should be "right".  That's the default for "yes" that conky v1.8 switched to in 1.9.

You want the wall?  We have a "Wallpaper" thread ... I may have gotten it there.
