build-essential

It seems to me that build-essential is not installed on RC1 automatically, but it was installed by default earlier. Is this intentional?

Re: build-essential

It was necessary for the netinstall method IIRC, but isn't needed in the iso.

Re: build-essential

For the record, I'm posting this from a brand new BL system installed with johnraff's script and build-essential is not installed (I haven't run the "Welcome" script yet).

It may have been dropped after the BL repositories were added to the script (previously the .debs were built from git source).

Re: build-essential

^That's it. It was necessary to build debs from GitHub.

Re: build-essential

AFAIK, build-essential is not installed by default in Debian and most Debian derived distros. It has to be installed afterwards.
