Re: October 2015 Screenshots

@Dobbie03 -- may I ask how you got the little power button symbol to display at the far right of the panel?

I can't figure out how to bring it up sad

Not on mine sad

I'll have to check the GNOME group to see what I've missed, thanks.

Really?  What version are you using?  Do you have any extensions enabled that maybe stopping it from showing?

3.18 from [testing]

I'll try disabling all the extensions next time I'm using it, thank you.

I installed a very minimal selection from the GNOME group so I probably just missed something.

EDIT: I'm being an idiot -- you have a desktop, right?

My panel shows the battery icon instead...

D'oh!

haha, yes I have a desktop.  I have never used Gnome-Shell on a lappy before so I am not sure what it should look like.

Re: October 2015 Screenshots

My new BunsenLabs system (unmodified):

2015_10_25_235128_1280x800_scrot.jpg

Installed using johnraff's superb script from a jessie "minbase" debootstrap(8) installation (I don't have a partition table in my ThinkPad so I can't use the installer).

It all seems to work perfectly despite the atypical set up and was possibly the coolest installation process ever.
cool

Well done team!

EDIT: The laptop was detected and the Welcome script offered to install the backported xfce4-power-manager, very nice smile

Dobbie: even the mods seem to be afraid of your terrifying avatar and horrible wallpapers, not to mention the music, but please, please, show a good example for the younglings by using thumbnails. (Unless you are a carpenter and that is the size of your thumb.)

Horrible wallpapers?  I'm hurt and offended.......and offended and hurt.....not really.  What's wrong with my music though?

Sorry team I thought that the large thumbnail from Imgur was small enough as I have been using that size from the beginning.  I will post smaller in future.

I do have pretty big hands, it's something I have to live with everyday.

Re: October 2015 Screenshots

No problems with your personal preferences here Dobbie. That size is definitely more low-bandwidth friendly :-)

Lots of tranlucency and dof blur.

Nothing wrong with Dobb's avatar, wallpaper or his fav music style, what we're not allowed to express our style of listening? if you've noted i posted a screen where i listening Eurodance while later Black Metal. Strange but no one criticize my leap hops in music. I may pick for a positive sign.

Dobb's have made nice journey work through time, he've been inspiration to many people include me. Rarely saw him posting on crunchbang. When I saw posting more and more on our forum, I was very pleased.

Sorry mate but i find too harsh your criticism against avatar, wallpaper or music style.
