And with the bl-conkypin script you can set and save the position of a moveable conky. ( @Sector11 doesn't like it though because it edits the new geometry into the conkyrc tongue )

No you have that wrong, I think it's a great idea.  And under normal circumstances I would use it, but I have different conkys on different desktops.  Just like some people want different wallpapers on different desktops and sometimes if my wife or I change wallpapers we move the 'pinning' ones anyway.

The problem is that the script doesn't want to put my conkys back on the proper desktops.
Desktop 1 = 7
Desktop 2 = 1
Desktop 3 = 3
Desktop 4 = 3
Desktop 5 = 0 - I test here  smile

The script puts all 14 on Desktop 1
Add to that - in the morning when I boot up I get a few conkys in normal windows.  I look at them and then close them - and have an OB Menu to re-open during the day if needed.

VNSTATS is one, not needed all day - other than right now and today's stats it's all historical anyway.

The historical parts are set to only be read once a day, of when ever I open the conky:

${goto 75}${execpi 86400 vnstat -m | tail -n 5 | head -n 1 | awk '{print $9" "$10 "\n\
${color}tx ↑${goto 75}" $6" "$7 "\n\
${color6}rx ↓${goto 75}" $3" "$4}'}

But I'm drifting off topic - when I comes to conky, I know I'm different and not normal, now - back to ARCHLab  smile

Funnily enough I am currently drinking an excellent mug of black coffee while listening to some most excellent Metal on my headphones while working on it smile

Hey S11, do you think you could please recolour the non-shaded logo to match the colours on the default BL wallpaper?

Re: [SOLVED] Replicating BL in Arch

Anyone know why the Bunsen themed notifications aren't showing in the Notify settings?  I have all the themes in /usr/share/themes.

Cheers

What are you using for notifications?

What do you get if you run the command in a terminal (is there an echo in here? tongue )

I'm using XFCE4-notifyd.

I get notifications but there is no selection available to choose the Bunsen theme in the notify settings.

A screenshot to illustrate what I mean:

I'm not sure which wallpaper you mean.  Let me know and I can try.  I'm not the best GIMPer here.

LOL me neither.  Since asking you I have sort of made one myself.  But thank you anyway.  One thing I do need though is that arch logo you managed to colourise.  Can you share that with me please smile

Sorry damo, forgot to post it:

Gtk-Message: GtkDialog mapped without a transient parent. This is discouraged.

Then the notification settings window opens.  Still no options to select the bunsen themes for notifications though.

I didn't colorise anything.  I grabbed yours and exported it a .png.  smile

I notice that the themes that are showing are css files.  Is there something else to be installed for notify to recognise the gtkrc theme files?

Re: [SOLVED] Replicating BL in Arch

The recent versions of xfce notifyd now require a css config: http://docs.xfce.org/apps/notifyd

The gtk-3.0 folder is for Gtk3.18 and before.

In order for Xfce4-notifyd to find your theme and show it in the Preferences Dialog you have to save it as gtk.css in either /usr/share/themes/$yourtheme/xfce-notify-4.0 (for global installation) or ~/.themes/$yourtheme/xfce-notify-4.0 (for local, single-user installation).

LOL! Just about to post that I saw that BL is still on version 2.4-3.

Looks like I'm going to have to try and make a few .css files smile

Re: [SOLVED] Replicating BL in Arch

We are making great progress on ARCHLabs.  Hopefully we will have our first testing ISO in the next week or so.

Dobbie, where is, say, Bunsen-Dark located and is there an Xfce folder in it?

No, he can't sleep on the floor. What do you think I'm yelling for?!!!
