Hey all,
I made a mistake in installing testing. I wanted to avoid the hassle of trying to build the package I needed that was in Testing, and I didn't realize what I had unleashed. Now, after removing the repo, half the packages are broken.
How can I downgrade back to Jessie?
Thanks,

The usual advice is that by far the easiest way is to back up your data, and reinstall

You can't.
There is this method but it's not intended for the stable release and I certainly wouldn't "trust" the system afterwards:

Slightly OT: can we take a testimonial of your experience and post it as a warning to other users?

If you let us know the package, I could hazard a guess as to the feasibilty of backporting it.
Also, some applications have appimages or flatpacks now, which (while bloated) allow for otherwise difficult new releases to "just run" on an older release. An example is Krita 3.1's appimage, which otherwise would require a backport of KDE 5.
