EDIT: Ah, ninja'd by ohnonot, but for the record, I belive the first argument is '/dev/zero', not '/dev/null'
sorry about that.
@Overkill:
for the record (since the card is DESTROYED now) - you could have made a filesystem check (fsck) and tried to repair bad blocks with badblocks (gotta love linux application names). maybe it would have helped.
