I know you all miss windows a lot, so: win7 lenovo laptop with a new ssd drive
The more i hang on Windows i believe that's not a distro for me.
I don't miss Windows 7, i just come from my sister laptop (Win7) fixing some errors detected on Event Viewer mostly not her faults, but trying to fix them eats a lot of my free time this afternoon.
For not say how much bloatware is that OS, 1.5GB RAM on idle after starting up. No way i ever wish to use Windows on my desktop.
Regards!

@Nili: yeah I probably wasted over 10 hours on this one thing (including phone activation < funny story as well). Next time I'am probably just gotta have to call some legit tech support.

I had some concerns with antispyware/antivirus that conflict each other in startup. Also some services that should take away or give administrative rights. So a few hours ate me. Anyway if our relatives want to use Windows despite Windows concerns i'll accept it "but not on my Desktop"

EDIT: Finally got Channel 4's On Demand service working:
Their DRM only co-operates with Windows so I have to run that version of Firefox through WINE...

That's the same bensen-empty theme that I posted in https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 448#p42448 with a half-finished tint2rc that probably isn't worth sharing.
I like my BL desktop much better

Yes, great fun, if a little capricious and random.
Stone Soup is still my favourite rogue-like:
@S11: yeah, you may be right -- I have linked to my github tint2rc so it should at least always be the "current" version

:8 OOPS! :8 In my own defence I saw the image, saw "Download Wallnutty" and did that and closed the page. ]:D
Resigned to Palemoon that I use as S12 doesn't like it.
