Getting Enigmail to remember my passphrase

I use Icedove with Enigmail for encrypted email with PGP. It works fine, except I cannot find a way to tell Enigmail to remember my passphrase if I'm logged in; even if I set Enigmail to remember my passphrase for 1440 minutes (24 hours) it still prompts me after 5 minutes or so.

Any known solutions out there?

Check if enigmail already uses gpg-agent (it's mandatory with gnupg2). If not, configure it to use it https://enigmail.wiki/Advanced_Operations. Then, gpg-agent will remember your passphrase for 15 minutes by default; this interval is configurable and may be extended or shortened (default-cache-ttl).
