I agree with ratcheer ... LTS indeed.

Version numbers are just too complicated:
7.0.0 « your birthday/month say day 19
7.0.1 « on the 19th of the following month
7.0.2 « on the 19th of the 2nd month
7.0.3 « etc etc
7.1.0
7.1.1
etc etc

... but that's toooo complicated, I like a modified KISS system: Keep it Stupidly Simple!

And on second thought ... if you if you really think about it ... it already is an LTS system ... ie: Let's Take it Slower

You're counting by decades; the whole number is LTS

Trouble is that HumanOS is similar to windoze. New versions just make things slow and buggy, and there is little possibility of upgrading ageing hardware!

It was quite by chance as well. I asked for the checkup that found the partially blocked artery and the operation was done almost before I could think about it. But I must say I feel a hell of a lot better now, because I was 'forced' to make some life style changes. I walk a lot, like everywhere that is up to an hour away on foot, and have lost a lot of weight. Has a pic here with me in an old pair of jeans, both arms running down inside the jeans. FEELS GOOD!

I'm on version 6.5. I still have all of my OEM hardware, although a few parts have been removed or modified.

On another topic, I am very happy for having completed three months of dieting, losing 21 pounds, and getting my A1C down from an almost diabetic 6.3 to borderline pre-diabetic 5.7. I'm continuing the diet, with a goal of attaining normal A1C.

Some of my OEM hardware has been modified as well. I like that analogy. But at our ages I think that's a given - except for g33zr, that guy is unbreakable!

First time I have heard of A1C - so I looked it up. Every blood test I get done has a blood sugar level check and only once was it high enough to be of "moderate" concern. Six months later it was A-OK.

My parts might be OEM, but that doesn't mean they're all working AOK. Although I watch what I eat and am active and exercise regularly, I have BPH and Afib. The latter could lead to a spare part known as a pacemaker, but so far so good.

I have a question.

Why is it called "Over the Hill" when really it's more like "Crossing the Valley"?

When we're young and full of piss-n-vinegar going down the west side of the valley is a wild ride that slowly calms down in mid-life as we traverse the bottom of the valley. Then comes the long clime up the, sometime very steep, slopes of the east side of the valley. We are going slower, checking our footing, because we're older and wiser (OK, grain of salt there) and "most" of our energy is a memory.
