Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

It's 14:41 here in Argentina (20:41 in Greece) and here's a few I have (Southern Hemisphere)
2016_10_24_14_41_01_Scrot11.jpg

@ HoaS - We already knew about the reversed images due to the northern or southern hemispheres.  I was, like Teo mentioned, wondering if "time" zones make a difference.  If they do it must be by minutes or seconds.  Nice site you linked to, explains it very clearly, unlike some other sites.   Thanks.  Love the DOC - COD thing.

EDIT:  Forget the time of the post, I type real slow!

Yea yea, hundreds of thousands of people wouldn't believe that's what you meant.  But I do!   ]:D
Teo would never try to fool us!

Am I the only one in the southern hemisphere here?  There has to be more of us 'southerners' using the script.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

Yea, I thought the same when I came here.  WRONG!  Fill your sunk!  Watch the water spinning - take a wooden spoon and spin the water the opposite way.  Better in a bathtub as there is more water.  smile

And while I'm coming up to summer, remember this when you are going packing the car for a picnic and swimming, tanning at the beach, "poor old S11 is freezing!"

I do see an "upside" down moon, or maybe it's you that sees it upside down, that would all depend on where the 'cosmic north' is.

The stars are a different story, those are different here.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

Hello;
I'd like to add few hours forecast in the conky HTC but I don't understand how to display these pics which are not created in the hourly_2015 or hourly 2016.
I call the script in conky like that:

${execi 600 bash $HOME/1_accuweather/1_accuweather -f -h}\

line 452 gave me some errors when I used the -h command. So I remove altogether16_2015 altogether16_2016 (in the 1_accuweather script) on this line and no more errors. I may did a mistake... don't know ?

It's normal to have an error message from line 452.
You didn't do any mistake, the script will regenerate the altogether file.

There aren't any pics in the hourly folders because you call the script withe -h parameter: no pics, use the weather font.
You should call it with -h2015 or -h2016.

For more info, read the 1_README.pdf file.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

Hey not fair you guys are up before me.  sad

I use them all in the first conky called on Desktop 5:

${execi 900 bash $HOME/1_accuweather/1_accuweather -f2015 -f2016 -h2015 -h2016}\

The scripts on Desktop 3 and 1 don't call anything, just use the existing data.

I am looking forward to seeing what you do with it ragamatrix!

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

It's a YUK day out there today, rained all night so it's wet and humid and very little sun.  No one wants anything do.

GOOD:  keyboard time!!!  I love it, so I got some conky time in.

Tweaked a weather conky - old (still here) on the left and the new version on the right.

Very nice S11, much info, well organized, without becoming overwhelming.
Great job!

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

Well, if you're interested in a weather and moon conky it a nice one.

If weather and moon info isn't your thing, it's a nice one your not interested in.   ]:D

Working on a 2016 version - with slight tweaks, images obviously as those are square, but more!

Back soon
