I've been meaning to finish this post since the Hydrogen release. Finally had some time today to get it up.
How I Configured My BunsenLabs Desktop
Any thoughts, comments, or corrections would be appreciated.

That is a really nice guide, thanks for sharing.
I may link that page in future
A small point: you refer to "BunsenLabs 1.0" when in fact we take the version number from the upstream Debian release so we are currently up to BL 8.6 (but still at the "Hydrogen" stage).

Thanks. I've made a correction to the post. :-)

Add to our Help section somewhere? Documentation>Getting Started?
...elevator in the Brain Hotel, broken down but just as well...
( a boring Japan blog (currently paused), now on Bluesky, there's also some GitStuff )

^ Yes, that sounds like a great idea.

I've added it to the "Basic Help" link list in List of Useful HowTos
Please feel free to move it somewhere else if it seems better.
@oswriter thank you!

Thank you @johnraff for the link. I hope to write some more BL how-to articles in the future!

nice article!
some technicalities:
i would put the xrandr line in code tags just like the other code in your article.
also the caja screenshot is too low res.

Excellent Piece of work!
My Bunsenlabs-UserConfig GitHub page looks like crap compared to this !
PS: I might use some of your tips soon

Nice!
Re.
The main reason I went with Caja is that it enables a dual-pane display, which makes it easy to move files around. Thunar does not support this feature.
Just to mention that PCManFM also offers a dual-pane mode.
Using the Openbox (3.5.2) session of Lubuntu 14.04 LTS but very interested in BL :)

oswriter: Even though you prefer Caja, I'd like to thank you for mentioning bulk rename feature in Thunar. I have used Thunar for ages but never knew such feature exists. Handy!

Both points are well taken. I've made the appropriate edits.

Looking at your dark tint2 screenshots I'd say that you didn't fix the Xfce4Screenshooter+compton issue
If so, the following might help:

héhé, thank you, I couldn't find where I posted the "fix" here, so it was faster to link to my github xD

Thanks again to everyone for their comments. I may write a few more articles about using BL. I've also cross-posted my original piece to GitHub.

When websites like in the OP are gone, there is always a pain in my heart...

^ um, the article is still on github?

^Yeah, there is also a snapshot in the internet archive. That site had great writings about open source stuff though, now it looks like it's gone... Unfortunately I experienced this too often with how-tos, blogs and various tutorials in the *nix world.
