Whoops, thanks pvsage. It was postimg's fault I swear. Anyway, thumbnails are up.
Also, I just found out, unfortunately, while the psu I got, in the picture above, is just a *tad* short (no pun intended) of the required punch it needs to power up a full HF 100 watt receiver.. 8.(
Going to see how I can work around that, or think about re-selling it, to buy one that meets the required ampherage

Technically this should probably be in the multimedia section, but does anyone have any experience using the cross platform program called fldigi? It's a modem program that supports digital mode of transmitting. So basically two hams can talk via keyboard, it's sent to your sound card, then output to your transmitter and antenna on the specified frequency and then reversed once the listening party received it, and is displayed on his tty.
I'm going to give it a whirl and see how it turns out...

I'm probabaly the enemy ( An X CB-er ) , but also an electronics enthusiast . I enjoyed building assorted Inverted V , and other mildly directional setups . SWR / VSWR is most of the dream .
( And wiring many microphone plugs )
A perfect VSWR may seem ideal , but could mean you have coupled all of your power out , into another nearby object / WET Wall !
Did use at least 2 receivers on seperate antenna/aerials because 27/81
kit swamped out easily . HAM is less home built now ( I'm too busy - lost DX bug ) May eventually join the 2m Club !
... Persistence is usefull ! (Alt-r my new friend)

^ That reminds me of an experience I had at a club on "open mic" night with some "stealth" recording gear (microphones concealed in Oakley-style eyeglass temple sleeves). I was recording the band on stage (with their permission) from in front of the mixing board, and apparently the battery box that was powering my microphones was causing some feedback/interference with the house sound, resulting in a mas-si-ve re-ve-rb. Sounded kinda cool, actually, and the rest of the audience loved it, but it was completely off the rails.

So, I may be getting a great deal on a Ham Radio set. For 400 dollars, I'm going to buy
Kenwood TS-570D 10m-160M HF radio with built in antenna tuner
Desktop Microphone
35A Astron Metered Power supply
With the slight slight possibility of a 10-40 m dipole antenna thrown in. That there is a really good deal, the transceiver itself is 500 dollars 'on the market'..
That's the unit itself...
