^ That red is quite hypnotizing. Quite a wide-screen you have there.

Just finished moving over from Debian+Xfce to BL. It's good to be back!

@damo, going back to #!, you're the master and I appreciate that, means a lot to me damo
Dual screens @SabreWolfy, they're a couple feet apart and looks better in a scrot
Oh, so there are two screens? I thought possibly it was the same screen "before" and "after". I meant that the aspect ratio of each image is quite wide in relation to height.

Odroid C2
Oooh, very nice indeed 8)
Is that the stock Ubuntu system?
How does it perform as a desktop?

Two things:
- Can you share that wallpaper?
- Did you try h.265 playback on this thing? (* H.265 4K/60FPS and H.264 4K/30FPS capable VPU)

Stock Ubuntu Mate 64bit.
This box is performing very well as a desktop system. I would say it performs on a par with the XU4 for light desktop duties and is also silent - no cpu fan.

^ Thanks @many_names
I have decided that I will only buy Open hardware anyway so the Odroid is right out:

O:)
EDIT: Back on topic, OpenBSD-current running the stock fvwm desktop:
Fresh install, needs tweaking.

Using the pre-installed Kodi media center I was able to play a selection of h.265 files flawlessly;

Big Buck Bunny and Sintel at different resolutions play stable video and audio.
Hope this helps...

Thanks, that suddenly became a very interesting machine.

Here's an older one of the same laptop I am using right now. Since I just re-purposed this machine as my linux computer there's a few things I want to re-create. Namely 95% of what's in this screenshot. So while I am *mostly* up and running, I'm having some alignment issues that i'll sort later but aren't pretty and don't want to show yet. But everything else is pretty much the same. Wallpaper, conky's (2 of them, I'm missing some), haven't tweaked Tint2 yet and so on and so forth.
Later on this week which will be in the Sept thread I'll post my WIP to date. But yeah, this is what I'm shooting for again. I miss this setup.

and so simple. And yet everybody rushes aroound in a great panic
as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.
