I'm looking to use Bunsen on my workstation, but I have a GTX 1060. From what I've been able to research, I need the 367 series at a minimum. Should I wait to use bunsen until the 367 drivers are in jessie-backports? Or is there not a way to use this card with Bunsen now?
If anyone is successfully using a 1060, 1070, or 1080 with Bunsen/Debian, it'd be great to hear what works.
Thanks in advance!

according to this article it performs well with linux but i couldn't find anything distro-specific.
do you have reason to believe that it wouldn't work with nouveau, the usual open source nvidia driver? of course it would mean limited performance.
do you expect to get full performance with the latest proprietary nvidia driver?
in that case you will have to jump through some hoops to get that working on debian stable (=bunsenlabs).

Try this method:

Thanks for the responses! Yeah I need the proprietary driver for the software I use, it's not usable with the open source drivers unfortunately.
Looks like I'll be building it from SVN, I didn't realize it produces .deb packages. One more question, is producing the packages from SVN more or less prone to break the system, compared to installing from unstable or experimental?
Thanks!

i think this is as safe as it gets; HoaS wouldn't be recommending it otherwise (just look at their signature! ;-).
also, due to the nature of the graphic driver, which pretty much stands on it own, after kernel- and xorg compatibility is assured.
but i would have a close look at the gtk dependencies of the nvidia-settings gui.

Oh sorry! I wasn't thinking they were giving bad advice, I was just trying to get a better idea of how SVN-build compared to using those repos, sorry for the confusion!
Cheers!
