Hi to all Bunsenusers,
i just downloaded the Telegram Messenger Desktop 64bit Linux Version.
You can find it on telegram dot org.
I entflate the archive and only two files are inside.
The 44MB-Telegram-Program and a small Updater.
If i click on one of the Programs and select to run the Program,
a telegram-icon appears in my tint2-bar. That's all.
If i want to use it and rightclick on the icon to
enlarge it to the Desktop nothing happens.
Has anyone an idea what to do ?
best regards - Rabauki
PS
I love my Bunse on a 4k 40" Monitor ;=))

You could install a distro that has a desktop environment I guess. BunsenLabs uses the Openbox window manager. It doesn't have a desktop as such.
Your app is running, as shown by the icon, so try running it in a terminal and seeing which command switches are available. There may be manpages or help text available to show a command to run the gui. Try this (using the executable name for the app):
man <exec name>
or
<exec name> --help
There are methods for having desktop icons. Try searching with "openbox desktop icons".
EDIT: When you say "enlarge it to the desktop", do you mean to move the icon, or run the gui?
If there are error messages when you start it in a terminal, then post the output here, using [ code ] tags.
EDIT 2: A quick look at the github source indicates that you may need qt5 libs, and probably other stuff as well. See https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop for the Third Party dependencies.

i dont believe it - but the Program started on my second conneced Monitor, which was switched off.
It runs well with Openbox and Bunsenlabs.
Sorry for disturbing *smile*
