I'm not sure that this is a question meant for this forum, maybe I should ask Mozilla, but I'll give it a try here because I have never experienced this while using Firefox on Windows or any other Linux distro.
I always use the scrollclick to open a new tab. But sometimes I missclick and when I do so Firefox takes a step back to the previous page I was on. This has caused me to loose some very important information and it is very annoying. Is there a way to change this? I can't seem to find anything in the Firefox preferences.
Also, I have arthritis and scrolling hurts my hand alot. I'm used to being able to just click the scroll wheel in some empty space and be able to just drag the mouse to "scroll" vertically and horizontally.
Thanks guys!

In the about:config page in firefox, there is indeed a bunch of parameters for mouse wheel click events
if you search for 'middlemouse' in the about:config you can find this and make sure it's set to true.
Look at the attached image below:
Also FYI You're probably not using iceweasel, unless you haven't updated in a while, you're most likely using firefox-esr. If not..you may want to update and upgrade asap.

I searched for "middle", and every preference that showed up is set to true. And I can't find anything that should make it go back one page.
Also I just recently installed Bunsenlabs, so I guess I'm using Firefox.
