Re: Annoyances and workarounds

obconf opens in a wide window

Set up a new entry in the <applications> section of your rc.xml.

This works nicely on a 1920x1080 desktop...

    <application name="obconf">
      <size>
        <width>33%</width>
      </size>
    </application>

The usual <position> and <size> values can be added to taste.

Re: Annoyances and workarounds

Boot messages show, very briefly, multiple repetitions of things like:

Sep 08 08:15:22 lithium kernel: pstore: crypto_comp_decompress failed, ret = -22!
Sep 08 08:15:22 lithium kernel: pstore: decompression failed: -22

If it annoys you, it seems to be safe to:

sudo rm /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg*.z

Mentioned eg:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo … bug=902966
https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc/?id=000019274

By "seems to be safe" I mean that while the same advice is found in multiple places, nowhere did I read that it might do harm. But still, at your own risk!
