Hi,
I want to rent a beamer to bring my bunsenlabs laptop output (websites, office presentation, ...) to the wall.
It's an old laptop with vga output. Do I only have to plug a vga cable from laptop to beamer and switch the beamer on in order to mirror my laptop to the wall?
(or do I manually have to edit config files for that, or is there a gui for this, ...)?
Thanks

Depending on the graphics hardware, the new output can activate automagically, or you have to press a special key combination (Fn key + something), or in either case you might need to activate the output manually. Perhaps you also want to change the screen layout (above the built-in screen, clone the built-in screen, etc) or the resolution.
Check out the 'arandr' utility for the output/layout/screen config part.

Ok, it worked... but I had to reboot with beamer connected (otherwise nothing helped fn key & co).
Only after rebooting the beamer showed the output immediatly (even the boot console log).
