HI Guys
I am looking to install bunsen on my 2009 white Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook 5,2. I have booted from a live usb and everything runs perfectly fine except one thing. The mouse / trackpad. With a normal external usb mouse connected I have no problems, but when I don't have one connected I have two problems. Please see my two problems below.
----
Problem 1. I have no right click function what so ever. If I want to right click I need to plug in my external usb mouse. I can however access the main menu by pressing "CMD + SPACEBAR" but that is about it. I cannot right click in applications or on the desktop. How can I enable a right click function for the desktop and all applications without having to use an external usb mouse ??
Problem 2. Using the trackpad to move the mouse pointer about the screen is very jerky. It is not smooth at all and sometimes takes a lot of patience. If I have my external usb mouse connected everything is fine, but when it's not connected everything is jerky and sometimes slow on movement.
----
Your help with these two problems will be much appreciated as I plan to wipe this MacBook and have only bunsen installed as a single boot. Once I have these two problems sorted and fully under control I will go ahead with my full installation plans. Thank you very much for your time and effort in help me. FURYCD001...

The Arch wiki is usually a good source for hardware configuration. Check out https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MacBook. There is a section for the touchpad.

Thank you very much for the kind welcome to the forums Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't able to access my main laptop for a while there. Anyway I'm back at it and have had a look over on the Arch wiki were I've found a good lot of help. Much of what I need
. It turns out that I had to install "xf86-input-synaptics" & "xf86-input-multitouch-git" for my trackpad to function properly. Don't know why but I installed those packages upon the wikis recommendation and my trackpad now works great

The other thing I've found with trackpads is that often the default install gives a right-click with a two-finger touch.
