Login user name - autoload

Super easy, unless you don't know how to do it. As root, open /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.bunsen and change the value of line #100 to false...

greeter-hide-users=false

Reboot, and select your name from the list. It will appear by default after that, you'll just have to enter your password.

Thanks to @johnraff for recommending that we continue copying threads over from the CrunchBang forums. Just in case.

I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

Re: Login user name - autoload

^ Cool tip - thanks, @hhh!

Looking at my /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf on my LXDE install, I see a greeter-allow-guest parameter; I'm curious to see what rights a "guest" user has in a LightDM session.

Be excellent to each other, and...party on, dudes!
