Another Openbox setup with Play fonts, Papirus icons (made for KDE), own theme (still testing), modified ostrolk Plank theme (https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 2168#p2168) and automagical applications menu.

Excellent! great sshot! Love the colors! bbpager you say..??

It has lil squares that represent the windows and this could actually be dragged across, and so on ..., but in practice I'd probably never use bbpager or similar, since it is basically a screen waster.
p.s. bbpager config, stolen from some #! thread and slightly changed.

dock without compositing = wbar (another experiment).

and similar on real hardware;

Inspired by backported plank.

notes:
- there is also wbar-config gui, which I have discovered after already trying all the stuff manually.
- you will probably want to start this via openbox/autostart with some delay, so remember to remove /etc/xdg/autostart/wbar.desktop
- wbar does not autohide and will not take place on desktop < fix it with some openbox margins (bottom in this case)

questions:
For some reason I can't scriptualy restart wbar (killall -w wbar && wbar < fails from script), ideas?

killall -w wbar &
(sleep 2s && wbar) &

fix it up so it's a proper script.

EDIT: Dammit Jim! I have BL installed as a VM on here until I get my laptop situation sorted out. But for some reason, either I totally borked over the spelling of one of my 3 login PW's, or in my tiredness I chose a new PW. Time to reload the VM. I was going to include a scrot of it here, but nooooooooo....

Considering it's 3:54AM and I have to be at work in a few hours I am not going to bother reloading it right now. I am going to have a final smoke then attempt to sleep. Insomnia be damned.

To be quite honest, I love it. It's extremely fast and stupidly rock stable. I'm actually putting together a post for my blog about it. Does this mean I am leaving *NIX? Nope. I love linux as much as the next guy. Yes, there is some telemetry tracking in Windows 10. No, Microsoft is not the new NSA. Yes, you can disable some of it depending on which version of Windows you run. Yes, it will kill Cortana if you do so. No, they aren't spying on your files. Any further discussion of Windows 10 in this context should be in a separate thread.

But I do believe it is the BEST OS Microsoft has put out to date - bar none. I really have to hand it to their dev teams. Now it's even a rolling release, so this should be interesting to see how that plays out.

You should share the wallpaper (if you haven't done so already), it looks really nice.

I normally hate gradients in openbox themes, but this one is somehow ... evocative and well composed.

@ostrolek, once again it's stand-alone xfwm4 running xfce4-panel, which is my main setup. I hate theming Openbox/tint2, what a pain in the ass. With xfce, it's change GTK files (gtk2, gtk3, notification gtkrc), done. But you can do something nearly identical by modifying the Deco tint2.conf...
